Dhaka, Mar 18 (UNB) – The 2nd international conference on Disability and Disaster Risk Management will be held in the capital on May 15 -17.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the 3-day international conference where about 2000 delegates from both home and abroad are expected to attend, said an official release.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the National Taskforce on Disability and Disaster Risk Management held at the Secretariat on Sunday with Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya in the chair.
Secretary of the ministry Md Shah Kamal and representatives from different ministries, among others, were present at the meeting.
