Belgian federal and regional governments have selected secure communications provider Zivver to provide encrypted email and file exchange services across public sector organizations, following an extensive evaluation of more than 150 security and compliance requirements.

Zivver, which serves 11,000 customers globally, will help Belgian agencies meet GDPR and NIS2 regulatory requirements while reducing data leaks caused by human error, the company said in a news release. The platform integrates with existing Microsoft and Google systems to add additional security layers beyond standard encryption.

“The strict selection criteria that made our framework contract possible went much further than just technical security. Supporting employees in preventing human error was of equal importance,” said Rick Goud, CIO and co-founder of Zivver. “Our solution intuitively helps users to send the right information to the right recipient with the right security, without extra steps or complicated procedures.”
