Peer-to-peer business lender Assetz Capital has appointed industry heavyweight.
He will take the role of chief risk officer at the Manchester-headquartered firm.
Macklin is joining Assetz following 35 years of experience at RBS and NatWest, including four years as head of complex customer management and strategic relationship management.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in strategic, credit and risk management within the financial sector.
In his new position, Macklin will aims to build Assetz Capital’s position in risk management within the peer-to-peer market.
As chief risk officer, he will head up all of the risk management operations of the company, as well as building on the established and functional risk management framework already in place across the business.
