CAF selects Israeli rail cyber startup Cervello to secure Tel Aviv’s Light Rail

Rail cybersecurity Cervello, in collaboration with Bynet Data Communications, will provide infrastructure cybersecurity for Israel’s upcoming Light Rail Transit (LRT) Purple Line, mobility solutions company Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) has announced. The line will span 27 kilometers and is a multi-year deal expected to connect six major Israeli cities. CAF was awarded in January 2022 the contract for the construction of the Tel Aviv new light rail Purple Line.

In accordance with the deal, CAF will trust Cervello to implement a fully comprehensive rail infrastructure cybersecurity solution to ensure the safety of the Purple Line’s 43 stations and its estimated 256,000 daily passengers. Cervello will provide security teams with visibility, deep asset intelligence, and risk management capabilities to detect cyber threats.
