Everest Insurance has appointed Chris McKeon to lead its risk management and commercial casualty business units.

McKeon is currently the vice president and head of commercial casualty. Before joining Everest in March 2017, he held various primary casualty leadership roles at AIG, including most recently as head of primary casualty for its corporate accounts group.

“Risk management is a key focus for Everest. We have an experienced and respected underwriting team, backed by both a capable infrastructure and the financial strength of the Everest Group,” said David Sandler, president of the risk management group.

“By appointing Chris to lead this group, we further enhance those capabilities by adding a known commodity with outstanding leadership skills and an extensive network of brokerage and client relationships,” Sandler added.

“While risk management and commercial casualty will remain distinct units, focusing respectively on the upper middle market and large account customer segments, there are a number of synergies that we believe we can take greater advantage of by combining the leadership of the two groups under Chris,” Sandler noted.
