Everest Insurance adds Lazar to lead west region risk management team

Everest Insurance, a division of global reinsurer Everest Re Group, has announced the appointed of John Lazar to its risk management unit as Vice President and West Region Leader.

Lazar, who joins from Willis Towers Watson, where he was Center of Excellence Casualty Leader for California, will oversee a team of underwriters across the Everest West Region offices, whose focus is the primary casualty large account marketplace.

He will be based out of Everest’s Los Angeles office and will report to Chris McKeon, VP and Head of Risk Management & Commercial Casualty.

“We are very excited to have someone with John’s experience, technical expertise and longstanding relationships join our Risk Management team,” said McKeon.

“The large account space is a core focus of our primary casualty platform and John will play an important role as we continue to bring unique services and solutions to this segment of the market.”
