Internal Auditors Ghana Issues New Directives

The Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana has called for reports of internal auditors working in the banking sector to be copied to the audit committees and the regulator, Bank of Ghana (BoG).

According to the Institute, this will be another way for the regulator to have first-hand information if these banks are complying with controls, regulations and accounting standards.

President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana Juliet Aboagye-Wiafe, in an interview with Joy Business, said with this move, more of the banks and other financial institutions would not take regulations for granted.
