Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps, has acquired RP Digital Security of Singapore. Kroll gains computer forensic, digital security and eDiscovery capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.
This is M&A Deal Number 35 that MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E have covered in 2020. See the complete M&A deal list here. And it’s this year’s second eDiscovery-related acquisition; the other involved Legility buying Inventus.
RP Digital Security’s clientele includes Asia-Pacific law firms, financial institutions and insurance providers. The company helps customers to investigate data breaches, ransomware attacks, business email compromises and internal employee incidences, and provides remediation and recovery guidance, Kroll says.
The RP Digital Security team now joins Kroll’s Asia Pacific Cyber Risk practice, led by Managing Director and Asia Pacific leader Paul Jackson.
Kroll also partners closely with various MSSPs and MDR (managed detection and response) service providers — including Red Canary.
