Both AL Wild Card Series start this afternoon, with the Rangers and Rays kicking things off at 3:08 p.m. ET (ABC) in St. Petersburg and the Blue Jays and Twins coming to you from Minneapolis at 4:38 p.m. ET. (ESPN) Here’s what you need to know.

• The Rangers and Rays finished first and second, respectively, in runs scored in the AL this year, so common sense suggests that it will be a high-scoring affair. The Rays have a slight edge in pitching numbers — particularly when you compare bullpens — so they would appear to have the edge at home. Jordan Montgomery (10-11, 3.20) will face Tyler Glasnow (10-7, 3.53)…
