Buffalo City Comptroller Mark J.F. Schroeder is pushing for an outside firm to conduct an annual audit of the agency’s purchasing. He’d like the BMHA to pay the cost of the audit – which he estimates at $50,000 – but says the city should pay if the agency can’t.
Schroeder proposed the idea this past week in a letter to the Common Council. The Council should embrace the idea.
