Business owners can learn how to protect themselves and their businesses at the Third Annual Wyoming Cybersecurity Symposium sponsored by the Wyoming Business Report Oct. 17-18 at the University of Wyoming.
The first day of the symposium on Oct. 17 features a student-oriented mini-hackathon and career day for high school students and their teachers at the UW Enzi Building. Mike Borowczak, UW computer science assistant professor, said students will be involved in hands-on programming and hacking of Bluetooth low energy devices. The student program is free but registration is required as seating is limited. On the second day at the UW Conference Center on Oct. 18, business owners will learn about solutions to cybersecurity challenges from national experts in blockchain, banking, small business risk management and national cyber initiatives.
