The highly disruptive nature of the technology requires a solid, human-led governance ecosystem and regulations that ensure it can be deployed in a beneficial and responsible manner. The rapid rise of GenAI, in particular, highlights the urgent need for robust frameworks. Broad adoption of GenAI and concerns regarding its use may intensify efforts to address issues surrounding digital governance and accelerate the development of risk management strategies.
