In today’s digital world, cybersecurity should no longer be an afterthought—it’s a vital necessity for business. According to Monroe University, in 1971, Bob Thomas inadvertently released a virus (Creeper) on ARPANET, the U.S. government’s precursor to the modern Internet. Subsequently, his colleague, Ray Tomlinson, created a virus (Reaper) to detect and neutralize Creeper.
